Wooden Lamp Kit with Wood Nipple Installation Guide

This is to show you a step by step guide on how to install the wooden lamp kit with wood nipple.

In this guide I have used all parts that you get from the Lamp Kit 7800506 and installing them onto a plain wooden block.

Kit Contains:

1x Lampholder

1x Cable Cord Set

1x Wood Nipple

2x Wood Screws

1x Cord Grip

Step 1: Drill an approx hole size of 9mm into your wooden item.

Next, screw the coarse thread end of the wood nipple into the wooden lamp base, leaving the fine thread end sticking out the top ready for the lampholder to be screwed on top.

Please Note

This can vary depending on the wood being drilled, if soft wood then a smaller hole size may be required. On woods such as oak it may be better to drill a slightly larger hole size.

We recommend in starting smaller then working your way up if required.

MAX Hole Size: 9.5mm

Step 2: Feed the cable cord set through your light fitting ensuring not to damage it as you push/pull it through.

Step 3: Wiring your light fiiting.

Please click on the link below that refers to the lampholder you purchased within this kit. This will take you to another guide that will give you step-to-step instructions on wiring your light fitting.

Once you have completed wiring your lampholder, please refer to the next step to finish the installation of your light fitting.

Step 4: Ensure you use the cord grip on the bottom of the light fitting by putting it across the cable and using the screws supplied to fix it into position, this will ensure the cable cannot be pulled out by accident.
