Installing Arditi Brand E14 lampholder's

This guide is to aid you in installing the Arditi brand SES | E14 | Small Edison Screw lampholders.

There are 3 different types of lampholders and all 3 will be covered in this guide.

Please click on the links to jump to the relevant section -

1 Plastic Cap
2 Metal Cap
3 Earth Cap

We recommend in using an isolator for the metal thread option.

Plastic Cap:

Step 1: Separate the lampholder into its 3 parts and screw the cap (bottom section) onto your thread.

We recommend in using a dab of superglue to prevent this lampholder from unscrewing accidentally.

Step 2: Take the connection unit and wire it as shown below, note there are markings behind the screws with L and N.

  • L = Live (Brown Wire)
  • N = Neutral (Blue Wire)

Step 3: Carefully sit the connection unit into the cap of the lampholder, taking care not to trap any wires.

Step 4: Take the top section (skirt) and screw it onto the cap section of the lampholder, note the clicking sound as you tighten the skirt up.

If you need to remove the lampholder for whatever reason, please see the bottom of this guide for information about the locking barb.

Metal Cap:

Step 1: Separate the lampholder into its 3 parts and screw the cap (bottom section) onto your thread.

Notice you will see a screw in the cap, once the cap is screwed onto your thread you will need to tighten this screw up.

This will lock the cap onto the thread.

Step 2: Take the isolator and slide it onto the cable as shown below, this will sit right inside the base of the lampholder, note the raised section of the isolator will fit over the screw head.

Step 3: Take the connection unit and wire it as shown below, note there are markings behind the screws with L and N.

  • L = Live (Brown Wire)
  • N = Neutral (Blue Wire)

Step 4: Carefully sit the connection unit into the cap of the lampholder, taking care not to trap any wires.

Step 5: Take the top section (skirt) and screw it onto the cap section of the lampholder, note the clicking sound as you tighten the skirt up.

If you need to remove the lampholder for whatever reason, please see the bottom of this guide for information about the locking barb.

Earth Cap:

Step 1: Separate the lampholder into its 3 parts and screw the cap (bottom section) onto your thread.

Notice you will see a screw in the cap, once the cap is screwed onto your thread you will need to tighten this screw up.

Step 2: Take the earth wire and bend it into the earth block as shown below, you can then take a slotted screwdriver to tighten up the screw to hold the wire into position.

Can be awkward sometimes, so we recommend in using a pair of long nosed pliers (if you have them) tweezers may also work well.

If you need to remove the lampholder for whatever reason, please see below for information about the locking barb.

Locking Barb:

All E14 lampholders have a locking device known as a locking barb, the purpose of this barb is to lock the lampholder in position to prevent any accidental unlocking.

Please see this guide for further information on how to release the barb to gain access into the lampholder: How to unlock my ES & SES Lampholder

Note that this is what the connection unit looks like....
